Military Grant Project Highlighted in USC Article

Through a project called "Building Capacity in Military-Connected Schools," SDSU school counseling graduate students and professors are working to create sustainable models of supporting military families in K-12 schools. One way this project is helping school counselors, administrators, and other educators is by publishing several books intended to "empower staff, students and parents to use evidence-based practices to improve school climate for students from military families" (Meinert, 2012). The pictures below provide other examples of how school counseling students are helping to ensure children from military families feel connected to their schools.
